Model Description

Version 2: This complete remake was in response to the issues with Version 1 and there are a few big changes. First thing, the design is 100% support free, unlike Version 1 which needed supports in a few places. The hinge is also now print in place as opposed to the "snap-into-place" hinge on Version 1, which makes the ring assembly much stronger. The locking mechanism is now much stronger so very unlikely to break or come loose, but the components are also designed to be replaced easily if needed. The only major con I would say to Version 2 is that it isn't quite as "screen-accurate" as Version 1, which was the one minor sacrifice I had to make to make the necessary improvements.

Version 2 STL's:

  • Ball Top
  • Ball Bottom (Flat Bottom)
  • Ball Bottom (Rounded Bottom)
  • Rings
  • Front Emblem Top
  • Front Emblem Bottom
  • Stream Valve
  • Small Notch
  • Latch
  • Nintendo Switch Inserts (2 Pieces, 16 Games + 8 Micro SD)
  • Nintendo DS Inserts (2 Pieces, 10 Games)
  • SD/Micro SD Inserts (2 Pieces, 12 SD Cards + 12 Micro SD)

Support: Version 2 is 100% Support Free

Assembly: Assembly video for Version 2 Can Be Found Here: https://www.tiktok.com/@thinair3d/video/7076937385111670062?is_copy_url=1&is_from_webapp=v1

Troubleshooting: If you are having pieces fuse together (mainly the hinge), you are likely over extruding. I would suggest calibrating your eSteps/Flow and try again. You will also need to verify that your bridging is decent, otherwise that could also cause the hinge to fuse.

-If you are still having issues, please feel free to message or email me and I will see what I can do to help!
